MANILA, Philippines — A state witness has implicated Eldon Cruz, brother-in-law of former President Benigno Aquino III, in a multibillion-peso road right-of-way scam.

Justice Secretary Vitaliano Aguirre II presented state witness Robert Catapang who revealed the evidence linking Cruz to the P8.7 billion road right-of-way scam, according to a report from The STAR.

The state witness showed documents which Cruz supposedly signed and was used by syndicates in the scam.
According to Catapang, the name of Cruz, husband of Ballsy Aquino-Cruz, was often used by the syndicate responsible for the road right-of-way scam.

Queen of all media Kris Aquino on Tuesday took to social media to defend her eldest sister Ballsy Aquino-Cruz after being implicated in a multibillion-peso road right-of-way scam.

In a lengthy Instagram post with a photo of quote “she’s a Queen with a little bit of savage,” Kris said Ballsy is her favorite sibling.

Kris narrated how she got disowned when she was pregnant with her first child Josh, and her eldest sister was the only sibling who was there with her in the hospital when she gave birth to Josh.

“That’s just how she is- she has loved me unconditionally. No judgment, just a reassurance that I'd never be alone because she always believed I'd manage to right my life’s wrongs- that is FAITH,” Kris wrote.
Kris then said she would “take a bullet” for Ballsy amid the allegations linking her eldest sister and brother-in-law, Eldon Cruz in a road right-of-way scam.

“So this is me saying- HURT HER by spreading more unfounded lies about her & her husband and you will really push me to my very worst,” the actress-host said.

“I mean it when I say for my Ate I will take a bullet. Or worse, make the worst nightmare of all Aquino haters come true,” she added.
Kris noted that her Instagram post is a “simple, clear, and real” message vouching for her family.

BUT i believe it is obvious- my Ate is my FAVORITE. On Monday, Ballsy and Eldon were tagged in an P8.7 billion road right-of-way scam after whistleblower Roberto Catapang Jr. showed to the media a letter supposedly signed by Eldon endorsing one of the projects secured through fake land titles.

Ballsy and Eldon’s son, Jiggy Cruz, however defended his father and said allegation that Eldon is involved in the anomaly is "absurd and ridiculous."

He said that the letter presented by the Department of Justice at a press conference on Monday shows a fake signature.

    Nagtapangtapangan si Kris to deny it..but the truth will prevail..it's God's work to reveal the truth..For more than 5-10 long years of hiding the evidence..Now it it God's perfect time to reveal their wrong doings..

BIR Slaps Renato Reyes (Bayan) with ₱1.05M Tax Evasion Charges

The Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) on Friday filed a ₱1.05 million tax evasion case against Bagong Alyansang Makabayan (Bayan) Secretary General Renato Reyes Jr., for failing to pay his personal income taxes since 2009. BIR legal counsel Atty. Brigido Loyola said Reyes’ failed to file income tax returns especially last year where he made more than ₱5.7 million from three major rallies, including the 2016 Asean Summit where he reportedly earned ₱2.5 million according to court records. Reyes, a career activist, has denied many times earlier that he is not earning a dime from organizing protests and all of his works are in voluntary basis. But Loyola said Reyes family expenses are more than his wife’s salary – who is physician working in a public hospital. From 2009 to 2014, Reyes reportedly filed tax exemptions despite already making decent amount from different protests. “We cannot exempt an individual who is earming at least ₱1.5 million a year,” Loyola said.
