The proportion of people who believe not all who are called up for "Tokhang" are engaged in illegal drug activity is highest in Metro Manila, at 50 percent, and lowest in Mindanao at 41 percent.
Moreover, personal knowledge of anyone summoned for "Oplan Tokhang" was also highest in Metro Manila at 31 percent. It is followed by Balance Luzon and Mindanao at both 25 percent, and by the Visayas at 22 percent.
The survey was conducted through face-to-face interviews with 1,500 adults all over the country—600 in Balance Luzon and 300 each in Metro Manila, the Visayas and Mindanao.
Nearly half of the number of Filipinos who know someone summoned for the government's "Oplan Tokhang" believe that none or not all of those called up are drug addicts and pushers, a recent Social Weather Stations survey shows.
Among those who have personal knowledge of anyone summoned for Oplan Tokhang, 49 percent say that none or not all of them are drug addicts or pushers; with 36 percent saying all of themand 14 percent saying they do not know, SWS media partner BusinessWorld reported citing the results of the study conducted from September 23 to 27.
Those who said they don't know gave the same categories "very good" ratings: +62, +50, and +54, respectively, according to survey results
Meanwhile, net satisfaction with the government's anti-drug campaign (+51, a "very good" mark), Duterte (+37, "good"), and the overall national administration (+49, "good") is lower among the 49 percent who do not buy the government's drug list.
It happened before President Rodrigo Duterte transferred the leadership of the government's war on drugs from the Philippine National Police to the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency.
